| Fazl's party moves no-trust against NWFP speaker |

| NWFP Information Minister Asif Iqbal and other legislators of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) on Saturday submitted a no-confidence motion against NWFP Assembly Speaker Bakht Jehan to the assembly secretary. Opposition members said they would support the speaker against the no-confidence motion, while the treasury members said the opposition’s support to the speaker substantiated their claim that “the speaker was in league with the federal government over the dissolution of the NWFP Assembly issue”. The notice of the no-trust motion submitted to the assembly secretary was signed by nine lawmakers and sought that the motion be disposed of in the ongoing session. |
