Militant dies while trying to plant bomb
2007-10-04
A man was killed late on Tuesday while attempting to plant a bomb near Nishat Chowk in Mingora police station precincts, Swat District Police Officer (DPO) Mohammad Iqbal told Daily Times.
"Heh heh! This is gonna be sooooo neat! [KABOOM!]"
The DPO said police had taken the body into custody and had started investigations.

Fazlullah supporters “arrest” women’s kidnappers: Meanwhile, supporters of local cleric Maulana Fazlullah “arrested” six people and rescued two women they had kidnapped from Matta tehsil. The women were allegedly taken hostage after their family rejected the kidnappers’ matrimonial proposals. When Qambar Khan’s family refused the kidnappers’ proposal, they killed him, injured seven members of his family and kidnapped the two women.
In Pakistain this is known as "romance."
Fazlullah’s supporters “arrested” Deedan Gul, Hamesh Gul, Syed Gul, Bakhtiar, Shamroz Khan and Mohammad Sher while they were shifting the hostages to another location. They also recovered a Kalashinkov and a double cabin pickup from their possession. They took the kidnappers to the Imam Dheri Markaz.
