| #1 This is the country it has been fashionable to despise - and be despised by - since Paris and Washington fell out over the Iraq war. It's drawing new respect, thanks to the election of a friendly leader with to-die-for approval ratings. What? Is the author suggesting we must be rigidly consistent in our making fun of France? If they are going to take a break from doing nothing other than pee in our Wheaties, I'll be happy take a break from referring to them as cheese-eating... well... you know. |
