A Turkish soldier was killed and two other security personnel were wounded on Tuesday when their vehicle was blown up by a remote controlled mine laid by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Partry (PKK), security forces said. The attack occurred in the mountainous Hakkari province near Turkey's border with Iraq amid escalating attacks by the PKK.Three soldiers were killed last Saturday in a similar attack on their vehicle. More than 200 soldiers and PKK members have died in violence so far this year, according to a study carried out by a human rights group.
