 MIRANSHAH: Four terrorists militants were killed in an attack on a military convoy after security forces returned fire in North Waziristan, security sources and local residents said on Friday. Suspected terrorists militants opened fire on the military convoy going to North WaziristanÂ’s Razmak town after an improvised explosive device went off moments before the convoy reached the site.

“Four terrorists militants were killed after they attacked the convoy with an IED,” security officials, asking not to be named, told Daily Times. They said, “The terrorists militants opened fire when the IED had exploded before the convoy’s arrival and our forces retaliated.”
In Swat, two people were killed and seven others injured when a car bomb exploded near the Swat district nazimÂ’s car. According to details, the bomb exploded when the car of District Nazim Jamal Nasir Khan was passing nearby. NazimÂ’s father Shaujat Ali Khan, brother Union Council Nazim Malik Ahmed Khan, three women and a passer-by were injured in the attack. The dead include Umar Rehman and another unidentified passer-by.
