BARA: Armed clashes between two rival groups left eight persons dead and seven other wounded in a remote area of Tirah valley in the Khyber Agency on Saturday. The clashes erupted in the Sanda Pal area of the valley when Mangal Bagh group captured two important trenches of Mehboobul Haq group with the help of hundreds of its supporters.However, the supporters of Mehboobul Haq group, armed with heavy weapons, retaliated and opened indiscriminate fire at the opponent. Exact number of casualties could not be ascertained. However, according to the unconfirmed reports, eight persons, five from Mangal Bagh and three from Mehbooul Haq group, have been killed so far while another seven persons from both sides have sustained injuries. The exchange of fire was continued till the filing of this report.
