| #3 I keep reading how "Iraq would be like Gaza if we left." No. It would not be like Gaza. Sunnis, now numbering less than 10% of the population, would be encouraged to leave. Maybe half would take up the offer and depart. The other half would have to be more fully persuaded. And they would be. The resistance that exists now can only exist when it can hide among a sympathetic people. When *everyone* is forced out, resistance is fleeting and futile. |
