I would like to share with the Rantburg crowd a little tidbit about our congressman who visited us yesterday. We got to ask him a lot of questions and he truly answered them. When asked about the immigration bill, he noted that his office was being flooded with anti-immigration calls/letters/emails. He said before the bill, he got around 40 contacts per day. He is now getting 400+ a day over the bill, mostly anti-immigration contacts and he had to hire two extra temps to sort through it all. He also confirmed that congress is getting hammered with people that want this bill to die. His opinion is that the bill will not pass the Senate because of the backlash.Keep up the pressure.
