| Russia requests extraordinary CFE Treaty conference. |

| Russia asked the depositary of the Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE) Treaty – the government of the Netherlands – to call an extraordinary conference of the member states in Vienna on June 12-15. “The appeal is one of the measures aimed at realising the policy with regard to the CFE Treaty stated in Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Address to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation,” a Foreign Ministry said on Monday. |
