PA Arabs Forbidden by Muslim Leaders to Flee Street Violence
2007-04-30
The Arab "man in the street" living under the Hamas-ruled Palestinian Authority government is starting to realize that voting for the terrorist organization has not brought the shining salvation it promised.

Thousands of Muslim worshippers living in PA-controlled territories are trying to flee their increasingly violent surroundings. Their religious leaders are doing what they can to force them to stay.

Sheikh Hamad Al-Bitawi, a Muslim religious leader and Hamas member, has announced that Arab Muslims are forbidden to emigrate from Israel.
Israel? Things are pretty good for Arab Israeli citizens. They can worship, work and vote. Where are they going to go? Lebanon? They're hated there. Kuwait? They're hated there. Iraq? They're hated there. Saudi-controlled Arabia? They're hated there. Oman? They're hated there. Egypt? They're hated there. Jordan? They're hated there. Hmmm, I sense a pattern.
Al-Bitawi ruled recently that Muslims must remain in order to counteract the fast growth of the Jewish population. Thousands of Jews arrive in Israel each month, Al-Bitawi said. It "makes the heart weep," he told PA residents.

Despite Muslim leadersÂ’ protests, however, thousands of Arabs are abandoning their homes and flooding out of Israel every month, particularly from Judea, Samaria, and Gaza.
That isn't Israel. Oh, now it's clear.
PA Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Suboh told reporters at a news conference in Ramallah last November that 10,000 Arabs had received permits from foreign and Arab diplomats to enter their countries since July 2006.
There's a hundred thousand Paleos sitting on the Syrian-Iraqi border because the Iraqis don't want them anymore (gee, wonder why), and the Syrians aren't so stoopid as to take them. Ditton on the Jordanian-Iraqi border. 10,000 from the West Bank and Gaza is a drop in the bucket.
Suboh added that some 45,000 more had requested permission to emigrate since the deterioration in the economic situation and constant violence between the Fatah and Hamas terrorist groups.

Firefights between factions have continued to pour blood into the streets, particularly in Gaza. And the frequent so-called "ceasefires" between Hamas and Fatah and the recent cobbling together of a "unity government" have done little to stem the violence.
So now the West is recognizing the idiocy of the Trucefire™. If they can't stop shooting at each other why would anyone expect them to quit shooting at the Zionists? And if they can't, why should the Israelis be compelled to hold their fire?
On Sunday, a 55-year-old man was killed in Gaza City by members of a rival clan. Two Arab residents of Gaza were moderately wounded in a shooting attack near Khan Younis. Several gang members were also arrested in Gaza City after attempting to kidnap a child outside of a local school; the members confessed that they planned to hold the child for ransom.
Fortunately no baby ducks were killed.

Their own religious leaders believe the same thing that Ahmadinejad and the Saudi princes do - the Palestinians are pawns to be sacrificed for propaganda advantage and the cynical jihadist goal of demographically destroying the "Zionist entity".

#5  DV: Thanks for reminding me of that tsunami of waste. It actually brought a smile to my face remembering that.

#4  Usually in a democracy if the voters make a mistake they wait until the next election and "vote the rascals out". We'll have to wait and see if Hamas will ever allow another election. In the meantime the people are voting with their feet.

#2  Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of thugs.

How refreshing appalling to see even the clerics begin to turn upon their own flock. This is what happens when sheepdogs acquire a taste for mutton. Hamas governance is the best thing that ever happened to the Palestinians. Little else could have finally connected the dots for these morons other than extending their terrorist philosophy to its logical conclusion. That would be, the terrorists terrorizing the terrorists. Priceless!
