| Former Fatah attorney-general kidnapped by Hamas |

| The former Palestinian Authority attorney-general, who is affiliated with Fatah, was kidnapped Monday morning by Hamas operatives, Army Radio reported. The kidnapping came while the Palestinian Authority awaited the return of its prime minister, Ismail Haniyeh, from Mecca, where he recently signed a treaty for a unity government with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas leader-in-exile Khaled Mashaal.
