Disaster declaration considered for lack of snow in Michigan

#3  Great, just great. I left Michigan to get out of the snow; moved to Washington and this year we have had what has been described as 100+ year storms. Little sister sent some pictures of snow in the Battle Creek region: ice covered streets, downed power lines, etc, so evidently the disaster isn't state wide.

#2  Low winter snow levels effects water tables, where drinking water is drawn. Apparently, Sydney, Australia and environs are now so dry that it is a desert region. On the other hand, West Coast ski destinations are having one of their best seasons in memory.

#1  They can consider anything but Ironwood got about 6" in the past 3 days and expects 10" more in the next 72 hours (they will be below 0F for most of that time)
