#6 I couldn't agree more, phil_b. Thailand is the one place I would seriously consider settling in, outside of the US. If they hadn't become insanely greedy under Toxin, regards exPats, I probably would have done so - but he instituted a whole mess of rapidly-changing schemes meant to enrich the Thai Govt and screw any exPat with the requisite cash who wanted to stay there.
It was remarkably self-defeating - I (and many thousands of others like me) am not there spending my money any more - and never will be again. Thailand's loss - people like me were pure profit, there was zero outlay for services while I spent freely to their benefit.
It defines stupid - and is yet another of the reasons I believe we should implement a simple foreign policy of precisely reciprocal treatment (visas, freedom, taxes, etc) with each country.

If they perceive strength in the host, they whine and wheedle and bitch and moan and seethe about their "rights", at least as far as the host's system offers - something only their imams may have granted them in the shitholes they came from. They settle in enclaves and refuse to assimilate. They agitate for implementation of their barbaric traditions. It is a lethal camel's nose under the tent: a tumor. It will appear benign until it feels it has won the PR war and has the authorities on the run. Example: France. Soon: Canada. Later: US.
When they perceive weakness in the host, they use violence and intimidation - then whine and bitch and demand their "rights" to implement their shit, a direct appeal to the elitists who always love the "quaint" and "exotic". The tumor is obviously malignant. Excise with extreme prejudice and cauterize - or submit. Example: Thailand, much of Africa.
Wherever they have ever held power, they resort to open warfare if opposed. Example: Afghanistan.
To any who still refuse to give up their comfy world view that Islam can be dealt with, can be mollified, can peacefully coexist with any other culture, can be reformed or neutralized - short of a total and effective quarantine or eradication - I suggest heavy medication or voluntary admission to a mental care facility... spreading your Pollyanna self-delusion is as dangerous as Islam. Islam defines implacable. It is a virulent merciless relentless human infection, a pathogen fatal to freedom, and should be dealt with as such. |
