Rwanda: Catholic Nun Jailed for 30 yrs in genocide case
2006-11-13 | |
The court sentenced the nun for helping Hutu militiamen to kill ethnic Tutsis seeking refuge from the slaughter in Butare hospital, where she worked. "She was responsible for selecting Tutsis and would throw them out of the hospital and the militia would then kill them," said Jean Baptiste Ndahumba, president of the local gacaca court in Butare town. "This nun was organizing people to be killed."

#6 It was unfortunately discovered the hard way that there was an awful lot of that in Rwanda heading into the massacre, Oldspook. A bunch of people are going to be surprised to find themselves in Hell, I hope. |

#5 Looked into this, and it looks like she was a local who didnt leave her tribalism at the door. Shame on them for accepting her into the religous order without making sure she was properly checked out. |

#3 I doubt the source is reliable but I know a bit about the Rwandan genocide (a spine in my heart since politicians I had voted for, were involved) and yes there were Hutu priests and nuns who helped the genociders. May they burn in hell! |

#2 When they say "no mercy", they mean nun. |

#1 Sounds very un-nun-like. Is this an accurate and reliable source? If so, then I would be that she was one of those "lefty" activist type nuns. |
