Australian residents reporting Earthquake in Melbourne |
2006-10-22 |
Seismologists are investigating a suspected earth tremor in Melbourne's southern suburbs tonight. A spokeswoman from Geoscience Australia says they have been flooded with calls from concerned residents in the suburb of Clayton, who felt the movement. Investigations are continuing as to the magnitude of the tremor. The suspected tremor follows a magnitude four earthquake last night 30 kilometres east of Cowra, in the central west of New South Wales. No property was damaged in the quake. |
