(KUNA) -- A Gunmen was killed and four others were injured during clashes with military forces in Kirkuk northern Iraq, said a Military source on Monday. The source told KUNA that masked gunmen attacked a military convoy in Al-Rashad area west of Kirkuk city. Military reports on the incident said that an Iraqi solider was killed and two others were injured in the attack.In Mosul, a police source stated that a police patrol was attacked by a group of insurgents in an area south of the city which led to the injury of two policemen. In the efforts to combat insurgency in Iraq, the Iraqi Political Council for National Security met here today and discussed the means to stabilize the country as well as plans to prevent more attacks from occurring.
