BEIRUT - Israeli warplanes on Sunday renewed its strikes on Beirut southern suburbs as rescue workers were battling to remove casualties from under the rubble from an earlier strikes. The jets carried out at least five new strikes on areas in the Hezbollah hotbed of Haret Hriek. In earlier strikes - the heaviest so far on BeirutÂ’s southern suburbs - at least five people were killed, including one child, and seven others wounded. Eight buildings and the Imman Hussein mosque were flattened to the ground in the Roueiss neighbourhood in the Shiite-dominated suburbs. Flames were still emanating from one of the collapsed buildings which left heaps of cement blocks covering the ground.

#3 I wouldn't care if they leveled the whole thing. Lebanon is and deserves to be forfeit - anything that survives is a gift from Israel. |
