Iran's Foreign Minister In Damascus
2006-07-17
Damascus, 17 July (AKI) - Iran's Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on Monday met with Syrian president Basher al-Assad and delivered a letter by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the crisis that has gripped the region.
Giving him his orders

The letter serves to "confirm Iran's position by Syria's side and its support in the face of whatever threats or aggression," the official Syrian news agency SANA said. The letter appeared to be a warning to Israel which has accused Syria and Iran of supporting Lebanese militant group Hezbollah and stoking the current crisis in region.

#2  If it was a 'warning to Israel' why was it delivered to Syria?

More likely a reminder to Baby as to who the boss is.
