One killed in Pakistan blasts |

ISLAMABAD: A security official was killed and another injured in two separate blasts in Pakistan on Tuesday, a news agency reported. A security official was killed when he stepped on a landmine near the southwestern Pakistani town of Dera Bugti in Balochistan. The landmine went off when the security man was on a routine patrol. A police official received serious injuries when three-story building crashed to the ground due after a blast at the weapon's depot of the police lines at Pibi in Nowshera district of Pakistani Punjab. The blast occurred at 6:15 am injuring the official, identified as Manzoor. The deafening boom triggered panic among the locals. Soon after the blast, senior army, air force and police officials and a fire brigade team of rushed to the scene. Police officials immediately removed ammunition, rockets launchers, explosive materials and others weapons from the depot and shifted them to a safer place. |
