US army arrests 9 Tawhid, Jihad militants who downed US chopper

(KUNA) -- The US Army in Iraq Friday revealed it arrested nine members of the Tawhid and Jihad terrorist group in southern Baghdad on June 18th. An army statement said the militants were arrested in a raid near the town of Al-Yousefiyah. It added the arrestees were involved in the downing of a US chopper on May 16th and a remote-bomb attack that injured an MNF soldier.(
