(KUNA) -- An Iraqi civilian was killed Sunday and at least nine injured when a booby-trapped car exploded in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul. An Iraqi police source told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the explosion was targeting American troops, but no information was available about casualties among them. The explosion caused severe damage to a hotel nearby in addition to a number of houses and stores, said the source.Meanwhile, the Iraqi Defense Ministry said in statement today that Iraqi soldiers operated 479 military patrols in different parts of Iraq during the last two days, arrested 146 people and dismantled a booby-trapped car.
