2006-04-11 |
PALM CITY, Fla. -- Martin County authorities say two South Folk High School students were injured when a pipe bomb they were making exploded. Sheriff officials said the bomb went off Sunday evening in the garage of 18-year-old Curtis Chambers' Palm City home. Reports said Chambers was hit in the face with shrapnel and could lose an eye. Christopher Senatore, 18, was treated at a hospital for minor injuries and was released. Investigators said the teens wanted to set off the bomb in a pond behind Chambers' home and searched the Internet for information on how to make a pipe bomb. Both could face felony charges of making a destructive device. |
