 At least 100 people had been killed by Thursday and another three were killed on Saturday in the âmilitary operationâ in Kohlu, representatives of the Marri tribe said at a press conference here on Saturday. Tribesmenâs cottages are being set on fire and there is no water and electricity in the area, they said. âGunship helicopters and jets came into action in the afternoon and made a number of sorties, mercilessly bombing the unarmed Marri Baloch population,â they said. There are no âfarrari (fugitive) campsâ in Kohlu and innocent civilians are being killed in the operation, they said. The entire Baloch community is being victimised for the crime of one or two people who fired rockets at President General Pervez Musharraf, they said. |
