Two including BNP leader killed in crossfire
Two alleged criminals including a BNP leader were killed in two separate incidents of crossfire between the RAB personnel and the armed criminals in Madaripur and Pabna yesterday. The dead were identified as Sheikh Liakat Ali alias Leku (40), joint secretary of Rajair Than BNP and also a UP chairman of Badarpasha under Rajair police station in Madaripur district and Md Taiyub Ali alias Kasai Taiyub (40), regional leader of banned Purba Bangla Communist Party Janajuddha ML (Lal Pataka).
A BNP pol and a Purbo Bangla commie?

Our Madaripur correspondent reports: The members of RAB-4 arrested Leku, the top listed criminal of Rajair thana from Tongi in Gazipur at around 5pm on October 27. He was accused in 19 criminal cases including five of murder.
Hokey smokes! That's hardball politix!
RAB sources said, following Leku’s confessional statement, a squad of RAB-4 along with him went to Badarpasha union under Rajair police station in Madaripur district to nab the criminals and recover arms from their possession at around 4.17am yesterday.
Sometime around there, give or take 30 seconds either way...
Sensing the presence of RAB, criminals fired upon them who also retaliated.
Just goes to reinforce my contention that there's nothing wholesome going on in the world at 4.17 am...
As a result Leku was hit by bullets and died on the spot.
"Rosebud!"
RAB members recovered a foreign made pistol, a pipe gun, eight rounds of bullet and two knives from the spot.
Brought two knives to a gunfight, did he? Bright move.

Our Pabna Correspondent adds: The members of RAB-5 arrested Janajuddha leader Taiyub Ali alias Kasai Taiyub from Khatbari Bazar area under Chatmohor police station in Pabna district at around 12.35 pm on October 27. He was accused in three murder cases with Chatmohor thana. RAB sources said, a squad of RAB along with Taiyub started for Bhabanipur Khankhola area under Chatmohor thana to nab his close associates. As they reached at the spot, the criminals opened fire on them at around 1.30am yesterday forcing them to fire back. During the shootout several bullets hit Taiyub.
[BANG! BANG! BANGETY BANG!]
"Ow! Ow! Ooooch! Ouch!"
RAB personnel recovered a pipe gun, a shutter gun from the spot.
"Ouch! Ouch! Oooch! Aaaaaiiiiieeee! [THUD!]"
The bullet inured Taiyub was rushed to Chatmohor Thana Health Complex where the attending doctor declared him dead.
"He's dead, Jim!"

#1  Shall I tell thee how I kill thee?
Let me count the ways

**locks and loads pipe and shutter guns**

You are right, Fred, nothing good happens at 4:17 AM, no matter what time zone you inhabit. My dog went nuts barking about that time this morning. Probably a BNP moose wandering about.
