#12 Schumer was exasperating immediately that Bush should unload the Strategic Oil Reserve. Dumbf*&k doesn't even acknowledge it's the refinery capacity, not the oil reserve level. The oiliest thing is a NY prick like Schumer jumping in front of the cameras, spreading his pernicious lies and ignorance |

#11 The oil production shutdown is temporary and a nit. It can be made up from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The immediate problem is the Lousiana/Mississippi refinery shutdowns that take out 2 million barrels per day of capacity until power is restored and restart procedures completed. Anybody have an idea of the refined products storage capacity at the affected refineries? |

#10 Joe, You're in NOLA? Who knew? Did Katrina help with the cap lock key? |

#7 Watching FOX last night, I was amazed at the damage in Mississippi and Alabama. New Orleans (for the most part) is still with us. They were reporting last night that a piece of one of the offshore rigs came inland and struck a bridge in Mobile! I can tell ya that there aren't any rigs real close in to Mobile, must've been a heck of a ride (I believe all the rigs in FL, AL and even MS are past the horizon, which is what Shipman? 12 miles or so?). |

#6 Easily recoverable, plus New Orleans is [mostly] still here. The true oil numbers won't be known for a while yet. |

#5 FOX reports loss of 3 million barrels of oil production. And at least one off shore rig was heavily damaged. Further reports likely worse. |

#3 So, will oil prices go higher if Cindy Sheehan stubs her toe? |

#2 Katrina is my cat. Considering the devastation I hear she caused, she deserves spanking next time I see her. |
