Pakistan and Britain will soon sign a treaty providing for the extradition of criminals wanted by the two governments, officials on Monday said. âThe extradition treaty will be ready for signing as soon as the two countries finalize procedural formalities,â foreign ministry spokesman Naeem Khan told a press briefing in Islamabad. He said the two countries are finalising the treaty at the initiative taken by Pakistan a few years ago. The spokesman said Pakistan also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UK, which will substantially reduce deportation of Pakistanis, particularly students, from Britain.
