Police net 'prime suspect' as four arrested in terror hunt |

A MAN suspected of being one of the failed London suicide bombers was being questioned by anti-terror police today after they arrested four men in dawn raids. The suspect was shot with a Taser stun gun following a scuffle with officers during a swoop on a semi-detached house in Birmingham. One witness said the arrested man looked like Yasin Hassan Omar, 24, one of the men named as a suspect in last week's attacks. Detectives had feared that Somali-born Omar had returned to his London flat following the failed bombing attempt to collect more explosives. The suspect was taken to the high-security Paddington Green Police Station, where most key terrorist suspects are initially held, where he was being interrogated this afternoon. More than 100 homes around the scene of the raid were evacuated so that a controlled explosion could be carried out on a "suspect" package. Security sources confirmed the man being questioned in London is thought to be one of the four responsible for Thursday's botched suicide bombings. |
