An Iraqi police source said in a press release that two armed men were killed as they were planting an explosive device along one of the main roads near Baquba in Diyala province. The source, who requested anonymity, said that the Iraqi security forces reached the scene shortly after the explosion and discovered in the vehicle of the perpetrators another explosive device. The city of Baquba witnessed on Saturday raid and inspection operations targeted against insurgents, especially that the security condition in the city is destabilized due to attacks against the Iraqi security forces and US forces.
