Blog entry; more news on the swedish guy and his bounty hunters... It's very clear Mr. Ulf Hjertström didn't suffer from the infamous Stockholm syndrome...âTheyâre not twiddling their thumbs,â declares Hjertström, revealing that he has âreceived confirmation that two of [the kidnappers] have already been taken care of.â When asked to elaborate on the fate of the purportedly captured men, the Swede says he âhasnât inquiredâ but has his âsuspicions.â |

#10 Some argue that the Magna Carta owes a lot to the fierce independence of Viking nobles who "settled" in England from 1066 onward... They never liked the notion of unlimited power, even when it came to their gods. |

#9 And why stop there... The statement has been made here by many, in differing ways, but the one sure thing that takes the Bad Guyz off the street, permanently, is targeted hunter/killer teams. I don't care what mechanism is used, Letter of Marque and Reprisal, Bounty Hunters, whatever, it works. Start with the Wolf Brigade. 10 confirmed kills = eligibility. Existing members, once it's up and running, must unanimously approve new members. Etc. I'd donate Yankee Dollars to that effort, too. |

#8 Going back to Gustavus Adolphus, guys like this were the reason even the Nazi's and Soviets did not take on Sweden. Glad to know their sort is still around. |

#7 He doesn't need honorary citizenship, he's a born American, the rest is just paperwork. |

#5 If we can't get Bolton through Congress, the Bush should appoint THIS guy our U.N. Ambassador (yes, I know, there's the whole "nationality" thing). The image of him sitting at the Security Council table with his "aides" Louie & Jake flanking him is splendid!! |

#3 Ah, a swede of the old school! I can appreciate his viewpoint. Best of luck and godspeed I say! Happy hunting Ulf! |

#2 He sounds very progressive for a Swede. 25 years in the real world seems to have done him a world of good. |

#1 I like how he says he's lived in Iraq for a long time and this is just how things are done there. Maybe grow a bit of a beard, eat with the correct hand and make sure you hunt down and kill those who kidnap you. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. |
