A spokesman for the Dorset-based family refuted suggestions he died from anything other than natural causes. An investigation into his father's death also continued in France. The 10th Earl of Shaftesbury, also called Anthony Ashley-Cooper, vanished last year sparking speculation he had been abducted by mobsters, murdered or was involved in an elaborate plot to stage his own disappearance.
