The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit Tuesday refused to rehear the case of two journalists threatened with jail for protecting sources. The reporters and their news organizations can still ask the U.S. Supreme Court for review. At the request of special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald, a federal judge issued contempt citations against reporters for The New York Times and Time magazine for refusing to identify their sources.
