A shootout in a bus between Indian soldiers and a suspected rebel left three passengers, one solider and the attacker dead in the Indian-controlled portion of Kashmir on Wednesday, police said. The bus shooting started when soldiers at a checkpoint were searching the vehicle for weapons and explosives, said police officer Sheikh Mehmood. He said a suspected rebel in the bus opened fire, and the soldiers retaliated. "Have at you, Indian dogs! Ooof! Rosebud!" | The shooting left three passengers dead as well as the attacker and a soldier, Mehmood said. The incident took place near Lalgam, about 55 kilometers south of Srinagar, from where the bus had started. |
