Tight security in capital on the eve of Christmas
2004-12-24
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has directed police officials to remain on alert during Christmas after receiving reports of a possible terrorist attack on December 25. In this regard, the prime minister's house issued special instructions to police and law enforcement agencies. According to reliable sources, the prime minister has received intelligence reports indicating a possible terrorist attack in the capital or its adjoining areas on Christmas and New Year. After reviewing the reports, the PM house issued special instructions to the Inspector General of Police to implement necessary security measures and put the police on alert. Police sources said security at churches and other places of worship had been placed on alert and special instructions had been issued for tighter security. The PM house also called for complete coordination and cooperation between law enforcement agencies to avoid any incidents.
And Merry Christmas to you, too, you Islamic bastards.
