DUBAI — The organising committee of the local Quran Memorisation and Recitation Competition of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) has announced that the finals of the local competition for male contestants will be held at the Islah Wal Tawjeeh Association and those for the female participants at the Dubai Women's Development Association. The participants at the meeting discussed the arrangements for the competition due to take place from next months when the preliminary phases of the contest begin at the level of the memorisation centres, then at the level of the zones until the finals take place in January next year.Inmates of the Dubai prisons who are enrolled in the Memorisation project for prison inmates are allowed to take part in the local competition as well and the winners are rewarded by waiving periods of their jail terms depending on the number of chapters they memorise.| And if they memorize the whole thing they get an expense-paid trip to Fallujah!
