THE JEMAAH Islamiyah members allegedly responsible for the bombing in Jakarta, Indonesia last week could have trained in Mindanao, a spokesman for the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Tuesday. "We are not discounting that possibility," Senior Superintendent Leopoldo Bataoil said when asked to verify reports that JI members were trained in the southernmost part of the Philippines. "We are leaving that to our intelligence officials," he added. A spokesman for the military was not immediately available for comment. JI members had trained in Mindanao, police and military officials had admitted. |
