A roundup of just a few of the oddities encountered in a (my) typical day surfing the WWW.

Paris Hilton for President
Airhead rich kids tout Simple Life star for leader of the free world
BACK OFF, Bush! Move over, Kerry! Paris Hilton is headed for the White House! That's the fervent hope of a group of ditzy rich girls who have pooled their sizable trust funds to make sure it happens. "Well, like, we think Paris would be an awesome president because she's so popular!" gushes Weatherly Waters, mastermind of the "Paris for Prez" campaign.
Bill Clinton reallywants to be invited to the Lincoln bedroom if this happens.
Toogle (Search Results probably NSFW)
Toogle is a Text version of Googles Image Search. Currently it creates images out of the very term that was used to fetch those images, later we will endeavour to create images out of the search terms entered by users past and present. But for now please, go play. This website is not necessarily recommended for children, minors, or other people of a sensitive nature, since it will most likely present content that might be upsetting. Still it was never my intention to pussy-foot around, and I don't intend on making the site any safer, the net is a big bad dangerous super-highway and if you get upset by images made from text then you might as well give up now.

The myths of sex before sport
By Jennifer Quinn (BBC) - Thursday, 12 August, 2004, 10:21 GMT 11:21 UK
With the Olympics upon us and 17,000 athletes converging on Athens, they'll be glad to know sex the evening before a big match isn't likely to hinder a performance, and thrilled to find out it just might help.

A little porn is 'good for you' (SNSFW)
By Emma-Kate Symons and Kate Mackenzie - August 17, 2004
PORNOGRAPHY is good for people, the academic leading a taxpayer-funded study of the subject said yesterday, as the Coalition and Labor traded jibes about an Opposition push to stop online porn reaching home computers. Alan McKee, who with academics Catharine Lumby and Kath Albury is conducting the Understanding Pornography in Australia study, said that a survey of more than 1000 porn-users must be taken into account as Labor considers forcing all internet service providers to automatically filter hardcore porn to protect children. "The surprising finding was that pornography is actually good for you in many ways," Dr McKee said.

Suspended: police 'who had sex with porn stars'
By Justin Davenport, Evening Standard, Crime Correspondent - 16 August 2004
Two policemen caught on film having sex with two porn actresses while on duty in Soho have been suspended. The constables, aged 30 and 34, fobbed off radio calls from colleagues as they had sex in a van being used by the film crew. Scotland Yard today said a disciplinary investigation had been launched. A spokesman said: "We are disappointed by the conduct which, if substantiated, brings the service into disrepute.

Nuns suspended for going on wild Club 18-30 holiday
Twelve American nuns have been suspended from their convent after going on an alcohol and sex fuelled holiday. The women, all aged between 22 and 31, went on the Club 18-30 holiday without telling anyone where they were going.

All items are 'normal' stories. None represent my particular viewpoint on anything, nor are they intended to convey any deep meaning - they're just 'news' stories. No likee, no clikee.
