| Children to get jabs against drug addiction. Ministers consider vaccination scheme. Heroin, cocaine and nicotine targeted. A radical scheme to vaccinate children against future drug addiction is being considered by ministers, The Independent on Sunday can reveal. Under the plans, doctors would immunise children at risk of becoming smokers or drug users with an injection. The scheme could operate in a similar way to the current nationwide measles, mumps and rubella vaccination programme. Except that these drugs affect the entire nervous system, blocking receptors throughout the body. Paging Dr Frankenstein. |

| #4 Ack, I meant "before concluding that the treatment is safe." I don't know how that one happened... Anyway, I had a frightening thought: do they know if this treatment would work on the endorphins from exercise as well? |

| #3 Well, Barbara, I guess what you tell us three times is true :-) This isn't the first time I've heard about this specific technology, and it sounds interesting, but I'd suggest a LOT more testing, over a long time period, would be in order concluding that the treatment is safe. |
