GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip -- Five French citizens were kidnapped by Palestinian gunmen late Friday in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian security officials said, the third abduction in the territory in less than 10 hours. The officials said two women and three men were abducted by gunmen as they drank coffee in the southern town of Khan Yunis. The officials said they were doing everything in their power to find the kidnap victims and release them.

| #2 The officials said two women and three men were abducted by gunmen as they drank coffee in the southern town of Khan Yunis Settlers wouldnt be caught dead (er, wait there must be a better way to phrase that) in Khan Yunis, and i dont think any other Jews would venture into the strip, except for the odd protestor/human shield type - not too many French Jews fit the category, AFAIK. Tourists? Are you mad? NGO types would be my guess. Sipping coffee, on a Friday afternoon/night, getting ready for the weekend would fit, wouldnt it? |
