#18  I was just waking up at the time, but it sounded like the SKY news correspondent that was on Fox News said something to the effect of 'They were positively cock-a-whoop about the find'.

I'm imagining chest-bumps all around. At any rate, good show!

#17  You're more than welcome to them.

#16  I think it was Howard stealing their girlfriends. Howard, hope you left some for me.

#15  These guys must of had some issues with the UK. Root causes. Cornish pasties maybe?

#14  3 Brit boyfriends. God, you poor bugger. I read on your site that we have a more l9iberal, touchy-feely approach to our Muslims. Not any more. These guys? Dip 'em in chocolate and throw them to the gays.

#13  I've had the good fortune to have lived in England twice...and I've had not 1, not 2, but 3 English boyfriends in my full life!
Rule Britannia! LOL

#12  Thanks Jen... (Bobbies? Pints? You talk like a Brit!)

#11  Fellas, here's the link:
Eight held as police seize explosives

And the relevant quote:
Two men were arrested in Uxbridge, one in Ilford, one in Horley, one in Slough and three in Crawley. All the suspects are believed to be Muslims and British citizens of Pakistani descent. They are now being interviewed by anti-terrorist detectives.

As you said, the bobbies should have a pint on the house for this one!
Well done!

#10  Don't worry about the police and security services resting on their laurels, Jen - this is just the latest in a long line of attempted terror attacks in the UK being interrupted. They've done an excellent job so far, and I hope they continue to do so.

The Telegraph aren't reporting the arrested man as Pakistani-born, but of being of "Pakistani descent".

#9  Jen, I heard all were British citizens. Pakistani-born possibly , but all UK passport holders. As a regular user of London's airports, praise the Lord indeed (and the boys in blue).

#8  The Telegraph is reporting that all 8 are Pakistani-born Muslims.
Looks like British police averted a huge attack--Praise the Lord and pass the ammo!
Hope the cops keep looking and don't assume this is the only terrorist cell or stash of bomb materials in the UK, because I doubt if it is.

#7  Will this be another Gloucester, with almost the entire Pak community protesting about police harrassment and the innocence of those being questioned? Mmmm... 'I tell you Abdullah is a good boy who goes to the mosque. No way could he be behind this' etc. etc. We shall see...

#6  Well observed Watson. Also all places where Paks live in large numbers.

#5  Crawley's near Gatwick airport, Luton - Luton airport, Redbridge - London City airport (and within an easy drive of Stansted), Ealing - heathrow airport. Looks like a simultaneous attack on London's airports might have been thwarted. Good job, boys!

#4  They're saying they've found a ton of the stuff according to Aunty.

#3  It is extremely difficult to get your hands on explosives in the UK. However, making your own is not that hard.

#2  Now saying on Sky that they've found Ammonium Nitrate - fertiliser bomb material a la Bali bomb. Didn't the IRA used to blow us up with this stuff? Nasty.
