We Are Not Afraid of Israeli Attack: Sultan |
2003-10-12 |
"I ain't afraid o' no ghost!" Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, yesterday said Saudi Arabia was not afraid of any Israeli threat. âTabuk, the Saudi citizens and our armed forces are, God willing, without fear,â of an Israeli attack. He was commenting on Israelâs announcement that a settlement had been reached on the issue of the Tabuk base, where Israel alleges F-16 fighter planes are stationed. Saudi Arabia has said that the allegation is baseless. |

#3 Those are F-15s in Tabuk. There is supposed to be a tacit US-Saudi agreement not to station F-15s within range of Israel. |

#1 ...F-16s? The Soddy's don't HAVE F-16s. Either somebody's yanking PS's chain (notoriously easy to do, from what I understand) or somebody's trying to set up a Clancyesque cover story of some kind. Mike |
