| $1.2bn of Saddam’s loot found |

| The United States and some of its allies found 1.2 billion dollars of the fortune of Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, a news report said on Thursday. The Wall Street Journal reported that the allies confiscated currency, property and diamonds held in the name of entities controlled by Saddam. The money might be used to help reconstruct Iraq. The U.S. seized last month 1.74 billion dollars in Iraqi government accounts and 600 million dollars in frozen assets. Every little bit helps. |
