Rifles, Grenade Found in Tampa Building |
2003-02-24 |
A security guard found three rifles, ammunition and an apparent live grenade at a state office building Monday, causing it to be evacuated, officials said. Carlos Baixauli, an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, said the items were found in a second-floor storage area said the guard found at about 8 a.m. He then pulled the fire alarm to evacuate the building. Police spokeswoman Katie Hughes said the building houses the Department of Children & Families along with some other state agencies. Further information was not immediately available. Someone's stash of weapons before a attack, or did a previous tenant (police/BATF, etc) forget them? |
