| 12 killed by vicious camel riders in Sudan... |

| Twelve people were killed and some 80 others wounded in an attack by unidentified armed robbers on a number of villages in western Sudan, a news report said Wednesday. The independent Al-Watan daily said the raid was launched by around 50 armed camel-riders on groups of the Fur and Bergu tribes living 45 kilometers (72 miles) from Nyala, the capital of southern Darfur state. The raiders ran away with some 1,000 cattle, but are being pursued by police. "Maw! Hide the cattle! It's commancheros!... No! It's the Abu Dalton gang!" |
