MP sez Faruq must be a CIA agent...
2002-10-18
Yasril Ananta Baharuddin, a member of House Commission I on foreign affairs, defence and information, has said that Al-Faruq can be a CIA agent smuggled into Indonesia with a chief mission of crushing the Indonesian Islamic movements under the fabricated accusation of being terrorists.
Yeah. He prob'ly snuck back in and set those bombs, too...
According to the Member of Parliament, the Indonesian people should realize that they are in the process of being smashed by the American. Yasril pointed to what he described as irregular and mysterious legal process in the arrest and extradition of Omar Al-Faruq to the American authorities.
I was surprised that the Indons actually turned somebody over to us...
Among other things which look odd and may lead to everybody's reasonable suspicion is the questionable quality of of Faruq's information, Yasril said. He said Faruq's information, no matter how doubtful in terms of transparency, had been absolutely used by the American authorities as the strong basis for pressing the Indonesian government to take drastic measures against the Indonesian Islamic activists.
Seems like a bunch of what he's blabbed has turned out to be verifiably true...
The common suspicion that Faruq is a smuggled CIA agent is based on the linear course of events which clearly seem to be an unscrupulous scenario to net Indonesian Islamic activists, Yasril said. "Al-Faruq is as mysterious as God. Whatever he says and whosoever he pinpoints as the American enemy has been trusted without questions", Yasril said. Yasril also said that despite the absence of transparency, the alleged investigation of Al-Faruq by the Indonesian police had also led to the decision to arrest some Indonesian Islamic leaders including Ba'asyir.
Yes, that's it! The whole thing's a set-up to get Abu! And now look what those nasty Merkins did — now they've made him sick!
The Indonesian government decision to name Ba`asyir directly as the Bali bombing suspect is evidence that the Indonesian government is under pressure from the United States. Speaking of universal law principles, uncontested and one-sided information like that allegedly uttered by Al-Faruq can not be taken as evidence for any due process of law, let alone be used as barometer of truth, Yasril added.
But it can certainly be taken as leads in an investigation. This guy sure doesn't like what the investigation's sure to turn up — and as soon as it turns something up, he'll be at the forefront of those trying to bury it again.
