Israel: You can keep Mary and Terje
2002-04-21
Israel has agreed to cooperate with a UN fact-finding committee investigating the battle in Jenin, as long as it does not include UN Middle East envoy Terje Larsen or UN Human Rights High Commissioner Mary Robinson. Both Larsen and Robinson are viewed as biased against Israel, and any committee they are involved in would not present a fair picture, a senior official in Jerusalem said last night. The official said Israel has agreed to a committee sent by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan that would "clarify the facts" of what happened in Jenin.

The UN Security Council on Friday unanimously endorsed a resolution that will send a "fact-finding team" to Jenin to determine what happened during Israel's military operation there.
They can probably find some more "unbiased" people. Prince Abdullah would probably volunteer for the job. And Mullah Fudlullah.
