Hegemonists picking on Muslims
2002-04-21
Commander of the Islamic Revolution's Guards Corps Rahim Safavi told students at the Tehran University Friday that the world hegemonists are intending to act against Muslims and block the wave of pro-Islam calls throughout the world.
Damn those hegemonists, pickin' on the poor Muslims. And they wudn't doin' nothin'!
He said the September suicide attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon were beyond the "intelligence resources" of the al-Qaeda and its kingpin, Osama Bin Laden. "There are issues beyond the scene relating to this incident," General Safavi said without elaboration.
Ah, it's the old "inside job" line.
Washington, he added, was intending to "guarantee security for the occupying regime of Al-Qods (Jerusalem) and dominate oil resources of the Central Asia and the Caucasus."
We're supposed to holler "No Blood for Oil" here...
Tehran briskly condemned the September 11 attack on American trade and defense centers, but it is opposed to the U.S. military assault on Afghanistan for exacting its toll on civilians. In February, Safavi denounced civilian deaths of the U.S. attacks, saying "the Washington government martyred the innocent Afghan people with 'thermobaric' bombs which suck up air and extinguish any life on their way."
Why were the innocent Afghan people holed up in caves and shooting? How would we know they were innocent, so we wouldn't shoot back? Didn't we get any of the guilty ones?
