An Israeli helicopter strike Friday killed the man Israeli authorities blamed for the Passover attack in Netanya that killed 26, military officials said. Qais Edwan was among six members of the military wing of the Palestinian group Hamas who died in the attack, which occurred near the West Bank town of Tubas, between Nablus and Jenin. The Israel Defense Forces identified Edwan as the leader in the West Bank of the Izzedine al Qassam Brigades -- the military wing of Hamas, which has been labeled a terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department.
