North Korea labelled the United States the "empire of devil" as it denounced it for seeking the biggest rise in defense spending since the early 1980s. "Though it has the largest number of weapons of mass destruction in the world, the US is sharply increasing military expenditure," the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said. "This clearly proves that the US, 'empire of devil,' is posing a grave threat to the world peace and stability," it said.
