Antiwar goobers tossed |

PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (AP) -- Anti-war activists opposed to the United States' bombing of Afghanistan were snubbed Tuesday before their planned protest got off the ground. First, a church where they planned to rally told them to find somewhere else to do it. Then police broke up the event because the group didn't have a permit. Carrying signs that said "Peace is patriotic," "Stop the cycle of violence," and "Our grief is not a cry for war," about 10 members of the Linwood-based Coalition for Peace and Justice showed up at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church to stage their protest. But the Rev. Ronald Falotico, who had given permission for the event believing it was to be a prayer vigil, reconsidered when he saw the protesters carrying signs. Peace be with you. Now get the hell out. |
