6 killed by Indian soldiers in new day of Kashmir unrest
[PRESSTV] On another deadly day in the disputed region of Kashmire, six people have been killed by Indian soldiers during an attack in the section of the region under the control of the New Delhi government.On Saturday, Indian forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in Tral area of Pulwama district, located south of Kashmire’s main city Srinagar. A shootout ensued, culminating in the death of six Kashmiris, inspector general of police Swayam Prakash Pani said. As the news of the killings spread, hundreds of people erupted into the streets in Tral in a public display of anger at the deadly event. They clashed with police. According to witnesses, tear gas was used to disperse the crowd.
